People always ask how Soap Busters started. Well… it's kind of a long story, but I'll tell it how I remember it.
Eugenio, Founder
I spent over 10 years in the motor trade. Showrooms, sales, polishing bonnets until they shined like glass. I knew what customers wanted because I was the one handing it over with a smile. But I needed a reset. So I moved up to the Highlands and became a delivery driver. Not for the hustle. Just for the views, the peace, and the headspace.
One morning, before loading parcels, I took my van to get cleaned. The job was rushed. The products were cheap. The finish? Barely passable. I drove off thinking… I can do better than that. I told a mate what happened. He said, “You've got the knowledge. Why not start your own?” I laughed. “Impossible.” But then I looked at that old delivery van. Now known as Red Rocket. Flat tyres when she feels like it. Moody on cold mornings. And second gear? Sounds like she's crying for help. But she's been with me since day one.
I stripped her out and fitted a massive water tank. No fancy gear. No shelves. Just the basics and belief. Two weeks later, Soap Busters was born. At first, I used some of the same harsh chemicals we had back in the dealerships. But after washing a few mates' cars, I saw straight away it wasn't up to standard. Didn't smell right. Didn't feel right. Didn't sit right. So I binned the lot, started researching, and upgraded to only the best products on the market. The real deal.
And I made one promise that's never changed:
"We never use the same cloth on two vehicles. One car, One kit. Every single time."
Then came the moment that changed everything. A local business owner gave me a call. She said, “When can you come clean my van?” I said, “How about 9:30 tonight?” She laughed, “You're mad… but I love it.” I turned up and cleaned her van like it was mine. She posted about the service. And by the next morning, Soap Busters blew up. Bookings. Messages. Shares. It went off. And I've never looked back.
Along the way, I knew I had to level up properly. I got properly accredited, sharpened my skills, and raised the standard of what Soap Busters delivers. Now, just over 3 months in, I'm fully accredited. We've cleaned everything from Teslas to tractors. And the support has been unreal.
I'm still pulling up in Red Rocket. Screaming in second gear. But showing up with pride. Some doubted. Some copied. Some just watched. But we kept going. Because we don't cut corners. We clean them.
If you've supported us, thank you. If you're new here, welcome to the Soap Busters family. And well… I guess you know how it goes: Who you gonna call?
